Poetic justice?

I know I promised no new posts, but this qualifies, because it's from last January. Seems like a good time to bring it back.

One Pill.

Arthritis pain,
heartburn,
cholesterol plaque.
One each, each day, and they're not coming back.

Anemia,
schizophrenia;
no worse than each other.
One capsule per, and one day's like another.

Impotence?
Pregnancy?
Renounce them. Just take
one pill at bedtime, and remain on the make.

No excuse for depression: "Get back on your meds!"
No need for analysts, probing your heads.

Next,
pills for mendacity, envy, or greed.
Name any price, they're just what we need.

Serial pills for rapists and killers.
One dose, they become community pillars.

Here, got this pill I want you to try.
Gulp! Mr. Pedophile's just another nice guy.

One pill a day to make Goods out of Bads.
We'll all make a billion; imagine the ads.

It's a wonderful world. Can't wait for what's next.
Could be the drug that cures side effects.

Of course, there's a catch.
We're in for some sorrow,
if we forget that one pill,
tomorrow.
