Is this right for me, Doc?

I can figure out if antacids or toothpastes are worth a try. But what about the pill that kills those cute-but-nasty computer graphic parasites under my toenails? Do I need to be thinking about this? Why advertise a drug on TV that boosts our immune systems in the unlikely event we have to go on chemo? Must I know all those side effects? The latter elixir can rupture your spleen! Should drugs of choice depend on who's got the cleverest ad agency, or your well-informed doctor? [TV drug commercials are not for everybody.
