Life or Death.

Chaos and angst. Media cacophony. Endless discussion of right to life versus right to die. Every side of this old-new argument is available to you every minute of every day. Every ego is hitching a ride, even guys in cassocks. Nothing works better in politics than something you can't really do anything about--how can you fail? The situation's outacontrol. Is this a great country, or what?

Indeed, it seems as if America's strange obsession with over-hyped, media-created events has once again achieved pre-9/11 levels. Remember Chandra Levy? She was somebody, everywhere on 9/10, and nobody on 9/11. There was barely a whimper when her body was finally found the next spring in that park in DC. America: Take a breath. There's more to the world than Michael Jackson and Terry Shaivo. God bless her.
