About face.
O.K., I have to take back some of my uncomplimentary statements about the cluelessness of radio. Infinity Radio, part of Viacom, made up of the old CBS-owned stations plus Mel Karmazin's original Infinity Broadcasting stations, is apparently awake and making some moves. Most notably, they're about to convert one of their San Francisco market stations to KYOURadio--podcasters will be invited to upload their own productions to the station, which will use the submissions as the content of their on-air format. Now, that's different. Read what Wired reports about it here. More to come.
