Another try at focus.

It just occurred to me that I've spent my life at work in the hype business, trying to avoid hype. Now, having decided to make my first blog, I've chosen to call it "dehype." In case I should be tempted to think my blog is a reaction against my career choices, I must remind myself of my values as a broadcaster and marketer. Everything...well, almost everything...in this media-gripped world is hyped. (Not over-hyped--that's redundant.) Fear, most of all. What I'm trying to do with this blog is come to terms with it all myself, in a semi-public way. An open-source way. What do you think? (About hype, not me.)
