My hype.

I know I'm supposed to be de-hyping, but I just got an Aha. Radio is now experiencing an explosion of change--2005 will end as the historic year. It's even seeping into the radio trades, but not much. There's so much news and buzz every day, I'm just going to give you a link to my Google News "radio" search. [LINK] There. Notice, please, what you don't hear in all this buzz is any word on local radio's exciting new digital "HD" broadcasts, or any sexy, cheap new gadget upon which to receive them. And, the only news about radio "journalism" is that Fox is pumping up its offerings. Like the Soviet Union, the tight, clubby "radio industry" no longer exists. (O.K., this is hype. Am I wrong?)
