Journalism lesson: are you listening, Arianna?

Arianna Huffington watched Meet the Press yesterday. She's incensed on her blog this morning about Tim Russert's grilling of Howard Dean, the national Demo chair. Says Tim sounded like "some White House flack." Not that we can expect you to know this, Ms. H., but the idea is for the journalististic interviewer to give all mucky-mucks equal BTUs. Even when the journalist is a known former Demo party employee. Tim pulls it off--your ire is proof. My own take: Dean comes off as mean and extreme as his opponents.
