JUST SAY NO TO DRUG ADS.

Let me make one thing perfectly clear. Advertising prescription drugs direct to patients is habit-forming. The techniques used by ad agencies are powerful and emotional, but they have nothing to do with the quality or suitability of medicines. Should you ask your doctor about Cymbalta because the music on its TV commercials gives you hope?

Even required drug warnings are sometimes included for questionable reasons--is it really necessary to warn you on a TV commercial about four-hour erections?

We can 't count on the FDA to stop Direct-to-Consumer drug advertising. And Congress has been taking power away from the FDA. It's time for you and your doctor alike to just say no. I'll be adding more links to help you get the straight, uh, dope.
