AFTERTHOUGHT ON MY LAST POST: DUH.

Reading that post (below) now makes me feel a little foolish. Of course all that make-nice stuff, including flushing Rumsfeld, was political "tactics." I wonder if the news folk are reading last week's copy with the same reactions this morning. Rummy's removal derails Democrat hearings on the military. And what do you bet some "fresh ideas" will emerge before January. Who says the Rove-Cheney folks aren't agile. Not that I'm cynical, but Democrats are going to have to be more aggressive than before to avoid a flummoxing.
